The draft final report of the Project “Online Behavioral Advertising and Microtargeting Activities” has been published.
This report, which to the best of our knowledge is the first of its kind in Greece, consists of three sections, corresponding to each part of the Project:
- the first part covers the legal framework concerning online behavioral advertising from a viewpoint of data and consumer protection,
- the second focuses on the related perceptions of users and online businesses and
- the third includes remarks on the results of the research and guidelines for the parties involved, i.e. consumers, businesses and authorities.
Parts of the draft will be presented during a Workshop which will be held by the Research Team with a selected audience of stakeholders, such as online businesses, consumer rights organizations, authorities and academics.
Their feedback will be utilized by the Research Team and adapted into the respective parts of the final report of the Project, which will be published on the Project’s website.
